2020 AICP Exam Prep Session
April 4 @ Camp Hill
8:30 am - 4:00 pm
The Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Planning Association is once again holding an all-day AICP exam prep session on Saturday, April 4 from 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. This will be held at the Giant Community Center (3301 E. Trindle Road, Camp Hill PA 17011).
The session will review the content outline of the AICP exam, which APA recently updated, and provide details on the different content areas. The exam has been updated to reflect the new content outline, and the session will take time to clarify understanding of the revised exam. Questions are encouraged throughout the day. PA chapter members can attend for free and non-members pay $35.
* Please note that you can attend the session even if you are NOT planning to take the exam this year.

Affordable Housing Workshop
The Southwest Section of the PA Chapter of the American Planning Association hosted a program on affordable housing in the Pittsburgh region. Experts in the field discussed what 'affordable' really means and how public officials can support affordable housing projects through innovative funding/financing, zoning, and other policy measures. In June of 2019, Allegheny County Economic Development (ACED) Planning Division and the Pennsylvania Department of Community Development (DCED) held a workshop for municipal officials, planning commission members, and others on modern zoning concepts: mixed use, form-based, TND, overlays, historic preservation, urban ag, and zoning for the new economy. The workshop was offered at three convenient locations around the County.
